APPEARANCE: The Sorcerer appears as a man in late sixties, with flowing white hair, a thick white beard and piercing black eyes that look down a pointed nose.  He wears flowing robes of varying colors when "working" and sharp Italian suits when he is not.

BACKGROUND: Not much is known of The Sorcerer's past at all.  It is known he has been around for at least thirty years, and his appearance has changed but little in all that time.  He has clashed with the likes of The Cavalier and Vortex and has shown a knack for survival and perseverence.  In the mid-nineties he became part of the Circle of Sorcery, a team of mystically-bent villains who worked together to forward their own ends.  As part of this team he became quite an effective and dangerous opponent.

The Sorcerer was slain by The Druid in her bid for world domination.  Later Doctor Hades re-attached his head to his body and both were defeated by the Vindicators.

PERSONALITY: Mysterious, intense, aloof, the Sorcerer enjoys displaying an air of mystery and menace.  He goes through great pains to look impressive and imposing, an image that has been severely tainted with the release of the Lord of The Rings motion picture.

POWERS: The Sorcerer's mystic abilities are extensive, although they seem to focus mainly upon physical effects (lightning bolts, fire balls, etc.) a manipulation of space (teleportation) and minor illusions.  His control of other disciplines is rather limited.
