REAL NAME: Wylie Rickman

HISTORY: Wylie Rickman was born in London, U.K. He grew up playing a lot of soccer, kind of a sports jock, but not like in the States, with no brains and huge bulging muscles. More of a wiry, lithe soccer player who wasn't dumb.

Wylie's father, William, was always working hard (in a factory) to make ends meet and so wasn't around much. His mother, Sarah, also worked at the factory (it's where the two met as a matter of fact). Wylie was mostly left to his own devices. He ran with the wrong crowd for a while, dabbling in minor criminal offenses and mostly dressing up weird and being rude.
Getting drunk was also a favored pasttime for the underage teens. Wylie and his friends drove up to Wiltshire one weekend to "see Stonehenge. In reality, they got extremely smashed the entire weekend. During the last night there, the small group of friends was mostly passed on the ground, and Wylie saw a light coming from within the stone circle. He cautiously (for a drunk person) approached and heard chanting. He finally saw a man in robes of some kind chanting over a three candles and a book lay open in front of him.
Wylie resolutely strode forward and called out, "Hey, man! What're ya doin'?" The robed man's chanting faltered as he spun to see the
newcomer. "You dare to interupt me?? I will--" The rest of the man's words were never heard or uttered. There was a bright flash and an explosion of energy as the magical ritual failed and the resulting built-up energy released disasterously.
Wylie awoke the next day with a headache the size of Scotland, his clothes mostly burnt or ripped off of him, and the robed man nowhere to
be seen. Only a black burn mark on the grass indicated that anything amiss had happened there the night before. Wylie stumbled back to his friends and explained what had happened. As expected, they took him to be still drunk and laughed it off and drove back to London.
Something had happened that night. Either the magical energy had infused power into Wylie or had awakened something that was already lurking inside him. He found he had paranormal abilities soon after the "incident". He did the only sane thing a person like that could do at that point. Donned a costume and started bashing criminals.

PERSONALITY: Wylie is a somewhat decent person who suffers from occasional lapses of morality and conscience. But he's improving, especially since he gained his powers, almost as if he feels that he has a responsibility now. He is loyal to his mates, friendly if sarcastic, and loves his drink and the women. Not that he's GOOD at seduction or charm, but he does try.

POWERS: The ability to create and manipulate shadows and darkness. Wylie can use his power to several different ends. He project blasts of dark energy at targets, slamming them with force or blinding them. He can solidfy shadows and darkness into whatever shapes he desires (usually weapons, armor or tools), though he did one time create a writhing mass of tentacles.
Wylie can blanket an area around him in darkness (usually a radius of about 50-100 feet), but he's never tested his limit. He thought it
might be bad publicity for his first stint with his powers to blackout London (if he could).
Wylie can also "jump" between shadows. That is, he can step into a shadow or darkness and reappear from another patch of shadow or darkness that he can see. The "jump" is nearly instantaneous, but not quite. There is a slight pause as he makes the transition.
Wylie has found since he gained his powers, that he dislikes bright lights and the sun often gives him a headache or causes a bit of
naseua. He thinks that a super with light-based powers would give him a run for his money.

APPEARANCE: Wylie is wiry and lithe, carrying muscles on him but developed more in the legs than everywhere else. He has blond hair that is short and spiky, standing up on his head about an inch or so. His eyes are a clear, pale blue. He stands about 5'8", give or take an inch, but tends to slouch a lot. Normally he wears a t-shirt and jeans with a brown duster. He hasn't got a "costume" per se yet, it's more of a black bandanna over his head and face with eyeholes cut out, a black shirt with a red "M" on it, black jeans, black boots, black gloves, and a black duster.
